Hi, I’m Ron.

I’m the owner and lead filmmaker behind Golden Hour Captures.

My path into filmmaking began while serving in the U.S. Navy and continued while I attended San Diego State University. What started as a love for creating films eventually became something much more meaningful: helping couples preserve one of the most important days of their lives.

I began filming weddings in 2015, and every wedding since has reinforced something I believe deeply:

The best wedding films don’t simply show you what happened. They bring you back to how it felt.

That’s why I care about more than beautiful images.

I want you to remember the nervous excitement before the ceremony. The sound of your partner’s voice during your vows. Your parents’ reactions. Your friends laughing together. A Little About the Person Behind the Camera

I’m a Turlock native, U.S. Navy veteran, San Diego State graduate, filmmaker, father, and fiancé.

After years away from the Central Valley, life brought me home again, closer to family and the community where I grew up.

Golden Hour Captures is a local small business, and I take that personally.

When you reach out, you aren’t being passed through a large studio or sales department. You’re talking to the person who cares about your wedding, prepares for it, films it, and shapes those moments into your story.

I want you to feel comfortable asking questions, sharing ideas, and telling me what matters most to you.

Because this isn’t just another date on a calendar.

When that happens, I work with trusted second shooters from my network of local photographers and filmmakers. I take the time to review their work, get to know them, and make sure they understand how I approach a wedding before they ever assist me on yours.

You should be able to enjoy your day knowing the people documenting it are prepared to be there.
